How to Zip files in Linux

Below is a command example on how to easily Zip compress files in Linux via command line.
If you cannot find the zip package, install it using your Linux package manager
(e.g. apt-get install..)

ishy@server:~/home$ zip filename.zip filename1.txt filename2.jpg filename3.txt
